4 U is a group exhibition in two parts examining intimacy in distance and distance in intimacy. Invited by Haus N to inhabit the gallery for the months of May and June, 650mAh approaches the exhibition as a research project developing and changing over the course of the two months. Mirrorring the duality of the exhibition’s focus, 4 U is split into Part 1 & Part 2, creating both separation and interplay between the two parts and their evolving artworks. Part 1 sees 650mAh invite artists Margarita Bofiliou, Roxman Gatt, Maria Gorodeckaya, Vasilis Papageorgiou, Larissa Pham, Claudia Pages, Trevor Shimizu and Valinia Svoronou to exhibit works relating to intimacy and distance. Part 2 sees 650mAh respond to their residence in Athens over the two months by inviting Athens-based and international artists to contribute new works. Part 2 exhibiting artists are Anastasia Douka, Dimitris Foutris, Margaret Haines, Andreas Ragnar Kassapis and Ersi Varveri.
Part 2 will launch at Haus N on 23 May 2019 also featuring a screening of Hito Steyerl’s 2007 video Lovely Andrea.
